This week Ann and Dan dive into whether or not a mother addicted to heroin, fentanyl, or any other drug should be charged with a crime if they continue to use while pregnant. A lot of people don’t see the ugly reality of newborns going through opioid withdrawal. It’s not something you’d ever want to see. We also discuss addiction in general and compare the opioid epidemic to the crack epidemic that destroyed our community in the 80s/90s.

(1:30) Using drugs while pregnant.
(22:00) Various State Laws.
(33:37) Does the drug of choice really matter?
(48:10) Addiction.
(1:05:15) Closing Thoughts.
