Sometimes lawyers don’t necessarily do their clients any justice when it comes to communicating information in a way that the average person can easily understand. We talk about the American Bar Association’s Formal Opinion 481, which dictates that an attorney must notify their current clients of any mistakes they’ve made. Unfortunately, this does not extend to former clients. We also talk about the innocent taking pleas to avoid possible jail time or a lengthy and expensive court battle.
